I'm Taylor Carlson, a graphic novelist and professor living in Ames, Iowa. I want every kid to feel equipped to face the dragons in their life, no matter what shape they take, and whose faces they wear.

I’m represented by Dan Cramer at Page Turner Literary Agency. I’m currently open to work in any graphic novel format (though I prefer MG and YA). I'm also currently on submission with my MG graphic novel Glass Houses, an adventure-fantasy story where a medusa learns to look her world in the eye.

When I’m not drawing or teaching, I like to hang out with my menagerie of pets, play video games on hard mode, and daydream about my next tattoo.
